United States goaltender Alex Cavallini kneels on the ice as Canada players celebrate after a goal by forward Marie-Philip Poulin during the women’s gold medal hockey game at the 2022 Winter Olympics on Feb. 17, 2022, in Beijing.

The Penguins along with the Professional Women’s Hockey Players Association (PWHPA), will stage a rematch of the gold medal game in last month’s Olympic Games between the United States’ and Canada’s women’s teams at PPG Paints Arena. The game is slated to be held at 4 p.m. March 12.

Canada won gold by defeating the United States, 3-2, in Beijing on Feb. 17. Marie-Philip Poulin had two goals and an assist for Canada. That contest averaged 3.54 million viewers for NBC, surpassing figures for any NHL game this season.

Tickets are on sale now online.

The rematch will be televised locally on AT&T Sportsnet Pittsburgh.
