Despite missing the playoffs for the past two years and finishing with an 8-8 record in 2019, the Pittsburgh Steelers are getting respect from oddsmakers regarding their chances of competing for a Super Bowl in the 2020 season.

A pair of online betting sites have include the Steelers among the top 10 NFL teams with the best odds to win Super Bowl LV.

The site betonline.ag considers the Steelers the ninth-best choice to win it all next year, listing the Steelers at 20-1 odds. The favorites are the Super Bowl LIV champion Kansas City Chiefs at 5-1 odds, followed by runnerup San Francisco at 7-1. The Baltimore Ravens (8-1), New England Patriots (9-1), Dallas Cowboys (16-1), New Orleans Saints (16-1), Green Bay Packers (18-1) and Philadelphia Eagles (18-1) are the teams also ahead of the Steelers

The longest odds, according to the site, are the Washington Redskins and Miami Dolphins, each at 100-1. The Cincinnati Bengals face 80-1 odds.

The site sportsbettingdime.com take a slightly more generous look at the Steelers, listing them at 19-1 odds, which is tied for sixth-best among the 32 NFL teams.

Ahead of the Steelers are the Chiefs (7-1), Ravens (8-1), 49ers (10-1), Saints (10-1) and Patriots (15-1), with the Seattle Seahawks facing the same odds at 19-1.

The longest shots according to sportsbettingdime are the Jaguars and Redskins at 150-1. The Bengals are next at 125-1 odds.

Given the respect the Steelers have gotten from the betting sites, oddsmakers are optimistic that quarterback Ben Roethlisberger will recover from elbow surgery that ended his 2019 season after two games.
