NBC to use 'High Sky' play-by-play camera for Steelers-Titans game Sunday
The Steelers’ preseason game Sunday night in Tennessee will offer a different viewpoint for television viewers.
Instead of using the traditional sideline camera angle, NBC will implement the “High Sky” camera as the primary play-by-play angle. The camera will be positioned at the line of scrimmage and 50 feet above ground. The angle will take viewers through the snap of the ball.
The telecast, with announcers Al Michaels and Chris Collinsworth, sideline reporter Michele Tafoya and rules analyst Terry McAuley, will be a prelude to the first Sunday night game of the regular season when the Steelers visit the New England Patriots.
Kickoff against the Titans is at 8 p.m.
Extra work
Chartiers Valley grad Christian Kuntz was added to the roster last week because of injuries at outside linebacker. Kuntz, though, has experience as a long-snapper, and he also got some work there in practice Wednesday.
Kuntz was listed as a long snapper when he was with the Denver Broncos in the 2018 offseason.
“They signed me as a linebacker, but if they want to me long snap, I’ll long snap,” Kuntz said. “I’ll do whatever they want me to do.”
Injury update
Coach Mike Tomlin didn’t offer updates on any of the team’s injured players other than to say cornerback Joe Haden (ankle contusion) remains day to day. Running back Benny Snell was not on the field and spent part of practice riding a stationary bike, but he said his absence was not injury related.
Slot corner Mike Hilton missed the second practice in a row. His wife gave birth to the couple’s first child — daughter Mikayla Chanel Hilton — on Monday.
