William & Mary offensive lineman Colby Sorsdal started five seasons in college.

Mt. Lebanon graduate Colby Sorsdal started five seasons and 46 games at William & Mary, but his football career is far from finished.

Sorsdal, a 6-foot-5, 304-pound offensive tackle, was drafted in the fifth round (152nd overall) by the Detroit Lions on Saturday.

Most draft analysts considered Sorsdal a candidate to sign as an undrafted free agent Saturday night. But Brian Baldinger, an NFL Network analyst who played offensive line in the NFL, wasn’t surprised that Sorsdal was drafted.

“He has four critical components,” Baldinger wrote in a tweet. “He has size, he has experience, moves very well, and most of all he has toughness. Good looking prospect to me.”
