Minor league report: Nailers move into 1st place in Eastern Conference

Forwards Jack Beck and Logan Pietila each had a goal and an assist for the Wheeling Nailers in a 3-1 win against the Iowa Heartlanders at WesBanco Arena in Wheeling, W.Va. on Sunday.

Goaltender Sergei Murashov made 32 saves on 33 shots to boost his record to 13-2-0 as Wheeling (21-5-1-0) moved into first place of the Eastern Conference.

Highlights:

The Nailers’ next game is a home contest against the Reading Royals on Tuesday, 6:10 p.m.
