Minor league report: Nailers fall to Oilers in shootout

Goaltender Taylor Gauthier made 31 saves on 32 shots in regulation and overtime for the Wheeling Nailers in a 2-1 home shootout loss to the Tulsa Oilers at WesBanco Arena in Wheeling, W.Va. on Sunday.

The result dropped Gauthier’s record to 6-5-1. Forward Dillon Hamaliuk scored the lone regulation goal for Wheeling (10-10-1-1).

The Nailers’ next game is a home contest against the Indy Fuel on Friday, 7:10 p.m.
