Minor league report: Nailers drop final road game of season

Goaltender Tommy Nappier made 27 saves on 30 shots for the Wheeling Nailers in a 3-1 road loss to the South Carolina Stingrays at North Charleston Coliseum in North Charleston, S.C. on Tuesday.

Forward Patrick Watling scored the only goal for Wheeling (21-38-6-1) in its final road game of the season.

Highlights:

The Nailers’ next game is a home contest against the Indy Fuel on Friday, 7:10 p.m.
