Minor league report: Nailers defeat Komets

Forwards Michael Joly and Joshua Winquist had two goals and two assists for the Wheeling Nailers in a 5-3 home win against the Fort Wayne Komets at WesBanco Arena in Wheeling, W.Va. on Sunday.

Defenseman Jesse Lees netted a goal and an assist for Wheeling (16-24-5-1) while forward Patrick Watling added two assists. Goaltender Taran Kozun made 21 saves on 24 shots in the victory.

The Nailers’ next game is a road contest against the Komets on Friday, 8 p.m.
