Minor league report: Nailers beat Railers in shootout

Shootout goals by forwards Jack Beck and David Jankowski gave the Wheeling Nailers a 4-3 win against the Worcester Railers at WesBanco Arena in Wheeling, W.Va. on Saturday.

Defenseman Chris Ortiz had a regulation goal and an assist for Wheeling (25-6-2-0) while forward Kyle Jackson contributed two assists.

Goaltender Sergei Murashov made 29 saves on 32 shots in regulation and overtime then stopped two of three attempts in the shootout as his record improved to 15-2-1.

Highlights:

The Nailers’ next game is a home contest against the Railers on Sunday, 4:10 p.m.
