A second cornerback was listed on the Pittsburgh Steelers injury report Thursday when the team announced that slot corner Mike Hilton was limited in practice because of a foot injury.
Starting outside corner Steve Nelson, who was limited Wednesday with a groin injury, also was a limited participant Thursday.
The Steelers have one more day of practice before they play the Los Angeles Chargers on Sunday night in Carson, Calif.
Hilton’s injury, if serious, could create more playing time for Cameron Sutton in the slot. Nelson would be replaced by former first-round pick Artie Burns if he is unable to play.
Also sitting out practice Thursday were wide receiver James Washington (shoulder), inside linebacker Mark Barron (hamstring), fullback Roosevelt Nix (knee), running back Jaylen Samuels (knee), tight end Vance McDonald (shoulder) and guard Ramon Foster (not injury related).
Limited in practice were Nelson and quarterback Mason Rudolph, who continues to work his way back from a concussion that he sustained Sunday against the Baltimore Ravens.
Full practice participants were center Maurkice Pouncey, who was rested Wednesday, cornerback Justin Layne (illness) and outside linebacker Anthony Chickillo (foot).
