The Steelers’ Larry Ogunjobi sacks Browns quarterback Jacoby Brissett in the first quarter Thursday, Sept. 22, 2022 at FirstEnergy Stadium.

Defensive lineman Larry Ogunjobi predicted he would be healthy enough to play for the Pittsburgh Steelers on Sunday against the New Orleans Saints, and he took a step in that direction at practice Thursday.

Ogunjobi, who missed the Oct. 30 loss at Philadelphia with a knee injury, was limited in practice, marking the first time since his injury that he was able to do any type of on-field work. Ogunjobi did not practice Wednesday.

Ogunjobi was the only player on the practice report who improved his injury participation from the previous day. Defensive tackle Cameron Heyward was given a veteran day off from practice, and outside linebacker Malik Reed was excused because of a personal reason.

Inside linebacker Myles Jack (knee), cornerback Ahkello Witherspoon (hamstring), cornerback William Jackson III (back) and kicker Chris Boswell (groin) did not practice for the second day in a row. Boswell also was bothered by an illness Thursday.

Players on the injury report who practiced fully for the second day in a row were long snapper Christian Kuntz (ribs) and cornerback Levi Wallace (shoulder).
