Shown here during a game earlier this spring, Pittsburgh Pirates right fielder Gregory Polanco on Sunday hit his first Grapefruit League home run of 2020.

Gregory Polanco homered and reached base three times, and the Pittsburgh Pirates won for the second consecutive day in Grapefruit League play, 13-9 against the Toronto Blue Jays on Sunday at LECOM Park.

Limited to 64 games of any type — majors or minor league rehab, regular season or spring training — since Sept. 2018 because of a shoulder injury, Polanco has three hits and four walks in 15 plate appearances this spring as he seeks to establish himself as the Pirates’ veteran offensive leader.

Prospects Oneil Cruz and Lolo Sanchez also homered for the Pirates, who were winless in eight spring games until beating the Twins on Saturday. Adam Frazier, Cole Tucker and Christian Kelley had two hits each.

Starter Joe Musgrove allowed two runs on two extra-base hits and two walks in three innings.
