Voting on the award is conducted amongst the team’s players.

Crosby, 33, has appeared in 53 games this season and leads the team with 60 points (23 goals, 37 assists).

This is the ninth time Crosby has received this honor.

His teammates also selected Crosby for the “Players’ Player Award” which “exemplifies leadership for the team both on and off the ice, and who is dedicated to teamwork.” This marks the third time Crosby has claimed that award.
