Former Slippery Rock star Micah Till turns pro
Micah Till was a wrecking ball around the basket at Slippery Rock. The 6-foot-7, 250-pound forward could rebound with the best in NCAA Division II basketball, but he was far from one-dimensional.
He graduated as the only Rock player with at least 1,000 points, 500 rebounds, 100 blocks, 100 steals and 100 assists.
He’ll take that all-around game to the professional level after signing a contract with the PS Karlsruhe Lions of the Pro A League in Germany.
A native of Upper Marlboro, Md., Till played in 73 games at SRU and ranks fourth on the all-time scoring list with 1,493 points. The three-time All-PSAC player and former All-American averaged 20.5 points, 9.8 rebounds and 1.6 blocks for his career.
The PSK Lions play in the Pro A league, at the second-division level of a three-tiered format.
Till plans to report to Karlsruhe in September for the 2020-21 season, which is scheduled to start in October.
