Striker Seon Ripley, a former standout at Seton Hill, is headed for a semi-professional soccer stint in the Northern Premier League, which covers all of Northern England and parts of the Midlands.

Ripley signed with Ossett United F.C., a team that plays in the Division One North West. The Sheepicorns won the West Riding County Cup in 2018-19.

A West Yorkshire, Great Britain native, Ripley played two years at Seton Hill after leaving Feather River Community College in Quincy, Calif. He also was a standout for the Ossett Town Juniors team.

“(Ripley) will be a great addition to our squad,” Ossett United manager Wayne Benn said in a team tweet. “Seon is another player who is good technically, quick and his attitude and work rate are first class. I’m really looking forward to working with him again.”

Most recently, Ripley played for the Hemsworth Miners Welfare Football Club in the Northern Counties East League Premier Division.

He had one goal last season.

Ripley had three goals and two assists as a senior at Seton Hill and tallied one goal and one assist as a junior.
