Former Pittsburgh Steelers receiver Antonio Brown was cut after playing one game with the New England Patriots.

In Thursday’s “First Call,” Antonio Brown says he wants to get back into the NFL with the Patriots. A Major League Baseball player channels his inner A.B. during a postgame celebration. John Gibson is back in Pittsburgh with the Anaheim Ducks. And Zion Williamson’s NBA career seems to be starting well.

Just gimme another chance!

Antonio Brown went on Instagram Wednesday to livestream a plea to the Patriots asking them to bring him back.

A.B.’s logic, you ask? Well, “they still gotta pay me, so might as well let me earn it.”

Brown also informed us that “God is good,” that “everything is beautiful” and “he is at peace.”

Great. That should make everything better. He’ll be back in the NFL in no time now!

Oh, Brown also said he’ll never go to the XFL.

Sorry, Vince McMahon. No sideshow for you. He’d be your biggest character by far.

Speaking of A.B.

Does this look familiar?

Remember — back in 2016 — when Antonio Brown livestreamed Mike Tomlin’s playoff victory speech in Kansas City?

Well Saint Louis Cardinals outfielder Randy Arozarena thought that was such a good idea he’d do the same thing with his manager Mike Shildt.

You can see it here. It’s a little too profane for us to post. I’m sure Shildt isn’t thrilled about Arozarena’s social media skills.

Arozarena pulled the video off his account and issued a statement.

“I want to apologize to my teammates, manager, the Cardinals organization and baseball fans for the video I posted tonight after our victory in Atlanta,” Arozarena said. “It was a moment meant to be private. I made a rookie mistake by sharing it on my social media account.”

Another Pittsburgh Duck?

Devlin “Duck Dynasty” Hodges isn’t the only Pittsburgh duck to watch.

Whitehall’s John Gibson is here with the 3-0-0 Anaheim Ducks. The goalie is off to a great start, winning all three of Anaheim’s games, allowing just one goal in each contest.

Assuming he starts, Gibson will look for a better outing against his hometown team than he normally has had. For as accomplished as Gibson has become between the pipes over the years with the Ducks, he has struggled against the Penguins.

In his career, Gibson is 4-4 with just an .886 save percentage and a 3.80 goals against average.

That’s his highest GAA versus any team.

How does this look?

While Pirates fans are hanging their heads over “what could’ve been” with Gerrit Cole and Tyler Glasnow, the club’s minor league affiliate is basking in the matchup.

The two former Bucco pitchers square-off in a decisive ALDS Game 5 tonight. Cole’s Astros battle the Tampa Bay Rays in Houston for the right to advance to the American League Championship Series against the New York Yankees.

The Indianapolis Indians brought us back to days of yore with this photograph of their alumni.

Cole won Game 2, striking out 15 Tampa Bay batters along the way. The strikeouts tied for third-most in a postseason game, behind only Bob Gibson’s 17 in the 1968 World Series and Kevin Brown’s 16 in a 1998 NL Division Series.

Meanwhile, Glasnow started and lost Game 1, yielding a pair of runs over 4.1 innings.

First pitch is at 7:07 p.m. Tears will start welling up in the eyes of Pirates fans at about 7:08 p.m.

Zion zoomin’

It looks like Zion Williamson is figuring out this NBA thing pretty quickly.

The top pick in the draft played his second NBA preseason game, and it went pretty well for him. Take a look at these numbers.

And these highlights.

The New Orleans Pelicans beat the Chicago Bulls 127-125.
