Former Penguins forward Maxim Lapierre announced his retirement on Sunday.
Lapierre, 35, enjoyed a 10-year career in the NHL with the Penguins as well as the Montreal Canadiens, Anaheim Ducks, Vancouver Canucks and St. Louis Blues.
Throughout his career, Lapierre was primarily used as a bottom-six forward who often agitated opponents with abrasive tactics:
The Penguins acquired Lapierre via trade in January of 2015. He appeared in 40 games for the Penguins, including playoffs, and recorded two assists during the final months of the 2014-15 campaign.
Over the past five seasons, he has played for teams in Europe.
Follow the Penguins all season long.
