Evander Holyfield responds to Mike Tyson with training video
Not to be outdone by the fighter he bested twice during the duo’s heyday, Evander Holyfield responded to Mike Tyson’s training video by posting one of his own.
Holyfield, 57, a former undisputed cruiserweight and heavyweight champion, announced last week that he’d make a comeback to the ring with a not-so-subtle tweet.
“Are you ready? The moment you’ve all been waiting for .. The Champ is back! I’d like to announce that I will be making a comeback to the ring. I will be fighting in exhibition matches for a great cause: #Unite4OurFight.”

An Instagram post the following day elaborated on Holyfield’s decision to revisit the ring.
“I’m training to promote a charity that’s very close to me. Our #Unite4OurFight campaign aims to fill the void the pandemic has created on access to resources our youth needs for emotional development and education.”
The “Real Deal” hasn’t fought since 2011.
He showed that he was serious about the comeback late Tuesday night.
Holyfield teased via tweet some footage of a training session and gushed about what he said was his first week back in the gym.
“I feel great. I’m looking forward to stepping up my training sessions and intensity as I prepare for my fight.
“I told you I had something for you.”

A couple of weeks ago “Iron Mike” Tyson released footage of himself in the ring with his trainer as he released a volley of vicious blows in a matter of seconds.
Tyson suffered back-to-back losses to Holyfield and was disqualified in the second fight after biting the champ’s ear. He says he is preparing to participate in four-round exhibition fights for charity.
