Newly-acquired Los Angeles Rams linebacker Clay Matthews seemed a little miffed about his old team giving his jersey number to a rookie.

Matthews made a name for himself for 10 season playing defense for the Green Bay Packer. On Monday, his number, 52, was given to Michigan linebacker Rashan Gary, who the Pack drafted with the No. 12 pick.

Matthews responded to the announcement on Twitter saying, “The body’s not even cold yet lol”

Matthews, the Packers career sacks leader, probably didn’t think the team would retire his number, but seemed to think they should have waited a bit before reassigning it to a new player. Some fans seem to feel the same way, judging by the responses on Twitter.

Matthews signed a two-year deal with the Rams during the offseason. He’ll wear No. 52 in Los Angeles.
