Chad Johnson jokes about asking Steelers GM for job with kicking team
Could Ochocinco be the Pittsburgh Steelers new kicker?
Former Cincinnati Bengals wide receiver Chad Johnson joked on Twitter that he was going to ask for the job when he happened to be on the same plane as Steelers general manager Kevin Colbert.
Johnson posted Sunday morning on his way home to Miami, “Kevin Colbert is also on my flight, gonna ask for a picture & an opportunity at the kicking position, what’s the worse he can say?”
(Most fans can probably guess what Colbert might say.)

Johnson followed up with a photo of him with Colbert, who according to the post coached Johnson in a college bowl.

But it appears Johnson won’t be attempting field goals or kicking off for the Steelers this year.
Had no luck lobbying for the Steelers kicking spot ?

Steelers kicker Chris Boswell struggled last season, making 13 of 20 field-goal attempts for a career-worst 65 percent conversion rate. The team brought in some competition for Boswell, when they signed signed Matthew Wright as an undrafted free agent after the NFL Draft. Though they recently released Matt McCrane, who converted all three of his field-goal attempts in the Steelers’ season-finale against the Bengals.
41-year-old Johnson played against the Steelers for 10 seasons as a wide receiver with the Bengals. He also played for the New England Patriots and Miami Dolphins in his NFL career.
Johnson has often posted photos on social media with former Steelers and now Oakland Raiders receiver Antonio Brown.
