Bro, Beau Bennett predicted Robert Bortuzzo's huge goal for the Blues
Sure, it’s cliche.
But Beau knows.
Not necessarily how to score goals himself. Or stay healthy.
We know how that went during his Penguins tenure.
But Beau Bennett’s hunch about his good buddy Robert Bortuzzo came true during the Stanley Cup Playoffs on Monday night.
Bennett tweeted a screenshot of a conversation he had with his former Penguins teammate, saying he had a feeling Bortuzzo was going to score a goal during the St. Louis Blues’ playoff series against the Sharks.
And it happened in the Blues’ Game 2, series-tying 4-2 win Monday.
Bortuzzo hadn’t played in the Blues’ final five games of a seven-game series win over the Stars in the conference semifinals. But he cracked the lineup in Games 1 and 2 of the Western Conference finals.
“Bro, I have a feeling you are gonna get in these next games a score a huge goal,” Bennett wrote to Bortuzzo. “Like massive.”
Consider it done.

You want massive? Doesn’t get much more massive than your first-career playoff goal being a game-winner, bro.
Bortuzzo has 14 goals in 335 regular-season games in his career.
Bennett most recently played for Dinamo Minsk of the Kontinental Hockey League in Russia.
