Broward County Sheriff’s Office
Former NFL star Antonio Brown turned himself in to authorities Thursday.

Antonio Brown reportedly surrendered to police in Florida on Thursday night.

Brown, 31, showed up at Broward County Jail around 10 p.m., as first reported by TMZ.

According to ESPN, Brown arrived at Broward County Jail wearing a turquoise suit a day after Hollywood, Fla., police issued a warrant for his arrest.

The police waited two days to speak with Brown and waited all day for him to turn himself in, ESPN reported.

TMZ reported that Brown allegedly chucked rocks at a moving truck and assaulted a driver after a dispute over a $4,000 bill for moving his belongings cross-country.

Brown faces charges of burglary with battery, burglary of an unoccupied conveyance and criminal mischief.

Police arrested his trainer, former NFL player Glenn Holt, and charged him with felony burglary and with battery. Holt was released after posting a $20,000 bond.

Brown was not immediately arrested because he holed up inside of his house within the gated community, TMZ reported.

TMZ says it obtained audio from the 911 call, where the alleged victim tells the dispatcher he believed Brown was under the influence of drugs. He said the tussle with Brown resulted in a ripped shirt and injured shoulder.

Brown, who is arguably one of the most prolific receivers in Pittsburgh Steelers history, played in one NFL game last season after his trade from the Steelers and subsequent release by the Oakland Raiders on the eve of the season. He was let go by the New England Patriots when a former personal trainer, Britney Taylor, filed a civil lawsuit accusing Brown of sexual assault on three occasions.

Brown remained unsigned for the rest of the season while the NFL conducted an investigation into his conduct. Brown had a workout with the New Orleans Saints late in the season, but he was not signed.
