In October 2018, Ben Roethlisberger hugs Antonio Brown after Brown beat the Falcons’ Robert Alford for a fourth-quarter touchdown.

Antonio Brown is reversing field in his views of Ben Roethlisberger.

Critical of his former teammate in the past, Brown apologized for his behavior toward the Pittsburgh Steelers quarterback Wednesday on his verified Instagram account.

Under a picture showing Roethlisberger patting Brown on the head, he wrote: “I never realized how good I had it, got caught up in my emotion with everyone coming after me I really apologize for my actions sincerely man!”

In nine seasons together, Roethlisberger and Brown hooked up for 74 touchdown passes, most in franchise history and No. 6 on the NFL’s all-time list. Their 797 completions ranked second all-time in the NFL.

Roethlisberger, though, criticized Brown publicly after a game against Denver in 2018, and in the weeks following Brown’s absence from the season finale, Brown took verbal volleys at Roethlisberger. Brown said Roethlisberger had an “owner’s mentality.”

Brown, though, has had a change of heart as he tries to rebuild his image.

“It’s never been another connection like what we done in the past decade,” Brown wrote. “I appreciate you. Sincerely AB.”
