The only negative moment of the Pittsburgh Pirates’ 12-2 victory Saturday night against the Milwaukee Brewers was left fielder Corey Dickerson’s groin injury that forced him from the game in the seventh inning.
He injured it while catching a routine fly ball.
“I felt something weird in my groin area,” he said. “I didn’t really push it, just felt something weird. I tried to reactivate it, and I could feel something was still there and there was no reason to push it so I went ahead and called (trainer Bryan Housand) out.”
Dickerson said he doesn’t believe the injury is serious but he is eager to see how it feels Sunday morning.
“I feel pretty good, just walking around, doing the normal,” he said. “I just want to see how it acts and see if it gets sore.”
Dickerson was on the injured list from April 4 through June 8 with a shoulder strain.
