After 4 innings, Pirates return Miguel Yajure to Triple-A Indianapolis
Miguel Yajure’s second stint this season on the Pittsburgh Pirates’ roster lasted four shutout innings.
After allowing only four hits Monday night in the 3-2 loss to the Washington Nationals, Yajure was returned to Triple-A Indianapolis on Tuesday when left-handed pitcher Aaron Fletcher was promoted to the majors.
Fletcher, 26, is no stranger to the Pirates. This is his fourth stint with the team this season. He has appeared in eight games, recording an 0-1 record and 9.35 ERA. In 13 games with Indianapolis, he is 1-1, with one save, a 1.53 ERA and 1.30 WHIP.
He also pitched for the Seattle Mariners in 2020 and 2021.
Meanwhile, Pirates infielder Tucupita Marcano (covid) and pitchers Dillon Peters (low back strain) and Duane Underwood Jr. (covid) are on a rehab assignment Tuesday at Double-A Altoona. It’s the first time three Pirates players are rehabbing together at Peoples Natural Gas Field.
