Many people did not qualify for the second round of stimulus checks. It is hard for people under 18 to qualify unless their parents qualify. Many children file taxes as dependents of their parents who do not qualify. Is it unfair that a child would qualify if they were not under the dependence of their parents?
I know young people who have bought cars and started to pay for their college tuition with their last stimulus checks. All kids would benefit from the money that is distributed, yet not everyone has access to it. If the government is truly looking to stimulate the economy with these checks, shouldn’t they be distributed to as many young people as possible?
We are the next generation of this country, and we are the people who will keep the economy running at the end of this decade.
