Letter to the editor: Work ethic is difference between parties

Letter-writer Helen Hopkinson asked, “What’s the difference between Republicans, Democrats?” (Oct. 19, TribLIVE). There is a race. The Democrats want everyone to start the race at the same time and finish the race at the same time. The Republicans want everyone to start the race at the same time but it’s up to you how you finish the race. Meaning the harder you work the better you do in the race (life).
