Letter to the editor: Words can't hurt us
It all started about a year ago. People began wearing masks in their cars driving alone. Many workers were required to wear masks during their whole shift. I absolutely believe that breathing in your own unfiltered, recycled air is causing some people to develop psychological problems.
Then this issue began: People have had their own opinions, thoughts and beliefs for centuries. Now, over this past year, people have been pressured into publicly apologizing for these words. These words could have been spoken yesterday or many years before, but now it’s offensive.
We also started seeing some TV stations airing commercials about donating to causes that they never would have done before. How can anyone believe that those are genuine and not just companies trying to look good to the public?
There is a 100% chance that someone is writing a letter about me even as they are reading this. Listen up people, and say it out loud: Words will never hurt me!
