Letter to the editor: Who can we trust?

As we near the end of 2020, a few things should be coming clear:

• We can’t trust the federal government to spend prudently.

• We can’t trust our state governors to govern wisely.

• We can’t trust the Fed to protect our currency.

• We can’t trust the United Nations, World Trade Organization or other international organizations to do whatever it is they claim to do.

In fact, the only being that is worthy of our faith and trust is our creator. And as we celebrate the birth of the son he sent us, it would be very wise to review the teachings that his son left behind.

The Gospel of Matthew is only about 50 pages long. It purports to be exactly what God wants us all to know. So why not spend an hour or so this Christmas season to learn the most important lessons in human history?

For 2,000 years, these lessons have survived. Learn for yourself why we are still celebrating the birth of Christ.

That Gospel can make you a better person. And you can make the world a better place.
