Letter to the editor: Where are our heroes?

Tribune-Review

The moral and courageous Dietrich Bonhoeffer said, “Silence in the face of evil is evil itself.”

So, where are our journalists and authors denouncing censorship and demanding free speech? Where are the doctors upholding their Hippocratic oath of “first, do no harm” and exposing the medical malfeasance that’s destroying lives?

Where are the judges and prosecutors judiciously enforcing the rule of law and condemning the subversion of justice? Where are our teachers protecting students from perverted agendas and indoctrination and teaching them basic academic fundamentals?

Where are the politicians performing their sacred duty as public servants to ensure life, liberty and the pursuit of happiness for all citizens? Where are our leaders of faith speaking out against the unholy spirit that has captured America?

And where are “we the people,” blessed by the greatest nation in history and her endless bounty, and gifted with the incomparable Constitution and Bill of Rights, standing up against this relentless attack to destroy the republic?

It appears that those possessing strong moral character, the will to do right and the courage to speak out are in short supply. There are some brave people fighting back, but they are marginalized by a controlled media, their voices easily drowned out by the overpowering roar of the tyrannical beast that has taken control of our nation.

We will all be held accountable for our every thought, word and deed. So, stand up against evil tyranny overtaking America and be counted on the right side of history … and the right side of eternity.
