Letter to the editor: We need to 'go back' to Trump's policies

Tribune-Review

At her rally announcing Minnesota Gov. Tim Walz as the vice presidential Democratic candidate, Kamala Harris repeatedly declared, “We are not going back!” She bitterly disapproves of the Supreme Court’s decision to leave abortion laws to the states, and has a long record of being soft on crime.

While Harris and Walz insist “We are not going back,” most Americans want to “go back” to the Trump era for lower costs of food, utilities, gasoline, housing and other items. Harris has no answer on inflation.

Since Harris was given responsibility for the border crisis, millions of immigrants have invaded America, leading to enormous costs for housing, feeding and health care. Worse, some have raped and murdered American citizens. Harris has no answer on illegal immigration. Most Americans want to “go back” to Trump’s immigration policies.

Under Biden-Harris, the world has seen escalating wars in Ukraine and the Middle East. It seems they did nothing when China flew spy balloons over our military bases, and the Chinese now openly threaten Taiwan, which is crucial to America’s electronics supply. These issues threaten our national security. Harris has no answer on national security. Let’s “go back” to Trump’s approach of peace through strength providing a world at peace.

As governor of Minnesota, Walz failed to control the Minneapolis riots after George Floyd’s death, leading to massive damage and over $500 million in losses.

Harris and Walz are not fit to govern our America; let’s “go back” to the policies of Donald Trump — proven policies that work.
