Letter to the editor: We must turn back to God
Much history has been written about the infiltration of Catholic seminaries by communists in the 1930s and their infiltration of our universities in the ’50s and ’60s. Their purpose was to sabotage and destroy our American way of life. The process would be slow, one drip at a time. Indoctrination is slow in a nation that has literally everything going for it, especially God’s divine protection.
Drip. In 1962 Engel v. Vitale, the Supreme Court ruled that school-sponsored prayer in public schools violated the establishment clause of the First Amendment. Instantly God was taken out of the classroom.
Drip, drip. In 1973 Roe v. Wade, the Supreme Court made a life-altering decision in ruling that a woman has the constitutional right to have an abortion, to destroy the life that is growing in her. Since then over 63 million children have “legally” had their lives exterminated before they took their first breath.
All of a sudden we got a tsunami. These two decisions made by man’s Supreme Court have brought us to the place in America where, according to the Department of Health and Human Services, in 2021 nearly 1 in 4 adults 18 and older had a mental illness, 13.5% of young adults 18-25 had both a substance use disorder and a mental illness, and nearly 1 in 3 adults had either a substance use disorder or any mental illness.
I believe we must do the responsible thing and turn back to God.
