Letter to the editor: We can all 'give birth to Christ'
Christian mystic Meister Eckhart wrote that “We are all meant to be mothers of God; for God is always needing to be born.”
As we celebrate the birth of Christ, let us resolve to be mothers of God in our families, in our neighborhoods, in our workplaces and in our churches. Let us resolve to give birth to Christ among those who choose violence over peace; to give birth to Christ among those who choose discrimination over dignity; to give birth to Christ among those who choose fear over hope; to give birth to Christ among those who choose despair over joy; and to give birth to Christ among those who choose hatred over love.
