Letter to the editor: Vote Starr in Allegheny Township

I believe we need a female voice on the Allegheny Township board of supervisors. Kathy Starr not only brings a wealth of experience and real accomplishments to our township, improving our quality of life (you can see a list of her accomplishments on her Facebook page), she also brings a female perspective/sensibility to people and problems. Women are not “nuts and bolts.” Starr weaves the threads of female sensibility with an inner calmness and respectful tone always. She is a team player. Women can easily sublimate their egos to accomplish goals.

Starr is a woman of courage, character and consensus. She is a farmer and a businesswoman. She understands the needs of both. Yes, we must coexist with each other in harmony. Please, think thrice before you cast one of the most important votes of your life. Local elections affect us all. Why change horses when you have a winner in Kathy Starr?

Our township governance is the envy of our neighboring communities. There has been harmony, mutual respect, and real consensus and compromise in understanding of what makes Allegheny Township a great place to live.

Vote Kathy Starr — she is pro-township.
