Letter to the editor: Vote for America's future Nov. 8
Democrats are making abortion and Donald Trump the key election issues. Abortion remains legal in Pennsylvania after the recent Supreme Court decision, and Trump is not on the ballot.
This diversion ignores the issues of skyrocketing food and energy prices; an unsecure southern border being flooded by illegal immigrants and lethal drugs; crime that’s rising at an alarming rate with defunded police, no-bail and sanctuary cities; and the unfair forgiveness of student loans.
The winning candidates will help determine the majority leadership of the U.S. Senate and U.S. House. The Senate is the huge prize if the Democrats prevail and eliminate the filibuster. Without the filibuster, the Democrats could expand and pack the Supreme Court, add D.C. and Puerto Rico as states, loosen voting laws, forgive all student loans, expedite killing fossil fuels, mandate teaching of critical race theory and gender choice in our schools, and substantially raise taxes on those who work or have assets.
If you like what’s gone on in President Biden’s term so far, vote for Lt. Gov. John Fetterman, who has spoken about freeing a third of the state’s prisoners and wants to decriminalize all drugs, and Rep. Summer Lee, an avowed socialist who proposes legalized prostitution.
If you want to stop and reverse the nation’s downward spiral, vote for Dr. Mehmet Oz, a successful cardiac surgeon, for U.S. Senate, and Plum Council President Mike Doyle for U.S. representative from the newly formed Pennsylvania District 12.
On Nov. 8, America’s future is really on the ballot.
