Letter to the editor: Vote Democrat for our future

If you want commonsense protections and freedoms from the democracy we live in, vote for Democrats, in both our Pennsylvania and federal elections.

For years now we’ve being seeing what the “revised,” now MAGA Republican party, is all about.

If you want freedom from gun violence, vote for Democrats. Republicans have been consistently blocking sensible gun safety legislation.

If you want protections for women’s reproductive freedom, vote for Democrats. Republicans have already made abortion illegal in 14 states and severely limited it in an additional 11 states.

If you want freedom from pollution, vote for Democrats. Republicans have become the anti-environment, profits-over-people party.

If you want economic freedom from unfair wage and tax structure, vote for Democrats. Republicans are blocking increases in minimum wage and of course, are for tax cuts for corporations and the extreme wealthy.

The list for our freedoms and protections could go on, with very stark contrasts. Vote for Democrats as a reasonable option for the futures of our families.
