Letter to the editor: Trump is a true patriot

President Donald J. Trump was elected by the citizens of this country to do a job. He promised to “Make America Great Again” by creating jobs, cutting job-crushing regulations, making other nations in this world pull their own weight, stop illegal immigration and fix the unfair trade practices that have weakened our nation for decades. Well, he has kept his promises.

Just imagine if the Democrats would actually do their jobs now and work with this president to make a stronger and more prosperous America. But, even without their help, or in spite of them, he has succeeded in so many ways. If you hate Trump and think he is vulgar and not presidential enough, look back to the presidents before him. They lied, cheated and sold out our country to the highest bidder. Take a close look at the current politicians who feel it is their duty to protect us from Trump. What won’t they do to divide our great country and continue their vicious attacks on who I believe is the first president who actually wants to help our nation and its citizens?

Hate Trump if you want, but recognize that he is a true patriot and he loves America. He wasn’t hired to mollycoddle us. He was hired to finally do the things that must be done to “Make America Great Again.” Wake up to the facts or wallow in the swamp.
