Letter to the editor: Trump haters should be mindful of facts
The writer of the recent letter “Trump supporters should see writing on wall” (Dec. 20, TribLIVE) is like the guy who buys the snake oil at the carnival and then calls everyone who doesn’t buy it stupid.
He seems to think that all the testimony against President Trump proves that he committed every dastardly deed imaginable except kill someone’s puppy. His conclusions are obviously based on what the Dems and the media (same thing) have told him was said. The actual testimony has been a litany of opinions, insinuations, accusations, assumptions, hearsay, venting and rumors, and virtually void of hard facts. If someone accuses you of something, is it really your responsibility to prove them wrong?
This writer and the Trump haters like him need to be a lot less impressionable by what they hear and read and a lot more mindful of facts. Their deep, seething hatred has apparently occupied that portion of their brains that is normally utilized for discerning the truth. These gullible folks who are guided by feelings and emotions don’t realize how badly they are being manipulated and at their own peril.
I believe this never- ending harassment of our president is an obvious coup attempt by a cabal of media and Washington elites from both parties. Trump is an outsider, and they are determined to overturn the election and remove a duly elected president from office, against the will of the 63 million people who elected him, before he can be reelected.
