Letter to the editor: Time for government to step up and help us all

My God, what the hell is happening to our country? My opinion is that we are going to collapse, and our government seems to be standing by watching it happen. All of them.

Everyone can see the economy is in the tank. Go to the market or to buy gas and medications. Prices aren’t going down but straight up.

Look at our border; hundreds of people are swarming across. How many foreign agents, thugs and drug dealers are being taken in? But the border is under control?

Now the biggest threat is rapidly closing in on us. China, Russia, North Korea, Iran and last but not least, our “friends,” the Saudis, could be banding together, and it’s obvious they have bad intentions for us. The Saudis are cutting oil production after how many trillions we have paid them. What happened to the energy independence we had a few years ago?

For years China has stolen our military secrets, making them a major problem alone. And what about China? Everything you buy today is largely made in China, Vietnam or some other Far East country. And it’s largely junk. Eighty-five percent of our drugs come from China. What if they cut us off? We have made China rich.

What we need to do is start production in this country again, and gain self-sufficient status again. What is our government — both sides — doing about it?

I don’t see anything looking good anymore, and it is our government’s fault. Get off your butts and save this country.
