Letter to the editor: Thoughts on Fetterman and Trump
Some comments on three letters published recently.
“Fetterman should resign” (March 7, TribLIVE): I’m sure this letter-writer would feel different if Sen. John Fetterman was a Republican, praising him for his courage in standing up to his detractors. I think Fetterman’s main problem is the way he dresses when he’s off the job. Only a dyed-in-the-wool Republican could hate him for that.
“Why Trump was a great president” (March 7, TribLIVE): The real reason he was “great” was because he increased the incomes of the upper 5% of the adult population, and by quite a bit. The letter-writer is concerned about the stock market. I think the 20% or so of the people who invest in it are mostly greedy capitalists who already have more than they need. They’re not like the rest of us. The writer forgot to discuss how a bunch of violent fascists could make their voices heard by fighting like hell. Maybe they didn’t fight hard enough for her.
As for the writer of “Let’s look at Trump’s accomplishments” (April 1, TribLIVE), I enjoyed his sarcasm.
