Letter to the editor: The PSEA needs to be eliminated

Tribune-Review

After reading the letters “PSEA leadership should be challenged” (April 2, TribLIVE) and “Cyber charter funding reform needed” (April 3, TribLIVE), I felt compelled to write. Why are teachers not making as much money as PSEA employees? You want our teachers to make $200,000-plus? You are out of your ever-loving mind. Who do you think is going to pay for it? Oh yes, I forgot: When you want something, all you do is put your hand out and you get it.

Our school district property taxes fund cybercharter schools. But they alone are not the reason for astronomical taxes. It’s the Pennsylvania State Education Association and all the teachers. They are sucking the blood right out of seniors who own houses. Enough is enough. We need to get rid of the PSEA and stop the blood- sucking, hand-out, “I deserve everything” teachers.

Inflation goes up, but we have to wait for Social Security to give us a raise. Enough! I paid my school taxes and also private school tuition. We no longer have children in school, but we still pay and pay and pay. And with the millions invested in Russia, let’s see how long it takes for more tax hikes.

No one reimburses us. Everyone needs to attend a school board meeting and put a stop to this.
