Letter to the editor: Speed is indeed a problem
If letter-writer Tom McCarey (“Radar about revenue, not safety,” May 4, TribLIVE) thinks speed is not a problem, I would ask him to drive on Route 28 any time of the day or night and again be able to make that statement. I can see his little town, maybe with one road in and one road out, not having a speeding problem, but practically nowhere else in this state can you drive at 10 mph above the speed limit and be the only car being passed. If anything, radar should be in the hands of every law enforcement officer in the state.
