Letter to the editor: Some actions climate change zealots can take

Tribune-Review

To all climate change zealots: If climate change is such an emergency, why waste time writing letters to the editor trying to convince us “deniers” that immediate action is required?

Here are several immediate actions you can take, without our involvement.

1. Stop flying in airplanes. Except, of course, for the self-important climate change zealots like John Kerry and Al Gore and their private jets.

2. Get rid of your air-polluting car. Buy an EV! Joe Biden may even write you a subsidy check, courtesy of the taxpayers.

3. Shut off your electricity. Whoops! I almost forgot that you need electric power to charge your EV, so you must keep your air-polluting, fossil- fuel-generated electricity. How about a bicycle instead of an EV?

4. Install solar panels. Maybe that will allow you to shut off your electricity. Maybe not. But you’ll feel better, and that’s really what’s important.

5. Erect a wind turbine in case there are cloudy days that render the solar panels ineffective. I have no suggestions for cloudy and windless days, but living in a hot or cold dark house for a few days is a price any climate change zealot should be willing to pay.

6. After completing actions 2, 4 and 5, give what’s left of your life savings to the federal government. I’m sure they’ll spend it wisely to fight climate change. Remember Solyndra?

Go all in. Walk the walk! Don’t just talk the talk.

And leave us “deniers” alone.
