Letter to the editor: Smokers shouldn't get vaccine priority
So smokers who choose to harm themselves and their loved ones, via secondhand smoke, take priority over first responders when it comes to receiving the covid vaccine. The first group chooses to smoke while the latter chose a career dedicated to helping others, including those who may be already infected with the coronavirus.
Perhaps the government, including Gov. Tom Wolf, have the $2.60 per pack excise tax in mind.
Remember ambulance drivers, firefighters, police officers, correction officers and any others who are in line behind the smokers when it’s time to vote. Better yet, let those in government know how you feel now.
