Letter to the editor: Scams, conspiracies and lies
It’s a terrible thing to own a phone and a computer. People try to scam you for your money and spread fake news that only destroys a democracy. They call you for a donation that only goes into their pockets. Give it to legitimate organizations, and most goes into administrative costs, and they sell your address to other organizations.
They scam your Medicare numbers by offering you equipment, braces and better coverage. They tell you someone used your credit card so they can get your credit card numbers. They tell you the IRS is after you. You just won a big prize, send money. Think you are getting a bargain off the internet? Better off going to the store.
To get you to vote a certain way, politicians use fake news and lies. Conspiracy theories abound on TV, social media and the internet. Somebody’s out to get you; it used to be the boogeyman.
Lies have become the truth. You can’t tell people who are set in their ways. They live off the hate, lies and fear.
If Jesus was president, he would not have done what President Trump has done. People don’t even remember the Ten Commandments when it comes to Trump. Trump’s like a god to them. But what about Jesus?
Keep donating to Trump’s political scams. I bet 70% goes into his pockets.
