Letter to the editor: Roe v. Wade uproar ridiculous
All this crying and uproar about Roe v. Wade is ridiculous.
No. 1: Why should the rest of the country be dealing with the personal problems of anyone?
No. 2: Women, if in fact you don’t want to become pregnant to begin with, there are many things you can do to prevent it. You can make your male partner use a condom, use the pill yourself, use the morning-after pill or just abstain from having intercourse until you’re ready to have a baby.
I fully agree that if you are raped, if there is incest or if your life is in danger, you should be able to abort the baby up to a certain time. In no way do I agree with carrying a baby nearly full term and then deciding you don’t want it and say you want to abort it.
We the people of this country should not be responsible for people not using their heads, especially considering all the things that are available today to not become pregnant. Fetuses are people, not goldfish that you can flush down the toilet.
There are some people protesting who don’t even know why, and it’s happening everywhere with everything that someone disagrees with. It’s just pitiful what this left-wing country has come to, and none of the politicians seem to have enough guts to fix it.
