Letter to the editor: Republicans undermining Constitution
Trump and his band of merry white Republican men are trying to undermine the Constitution of the United States of America — in my view, simply because of racism and sexism.
A lot of President Trump’s Republican government officials are lawyers, and I know they understand constitutional law. I believe they know Trump tried to bribe the Ukrainian president, yet they are sticking to him like glue. Why are these white Republican males so loyal and devoted to a president who would probably throw them under the bus without blinking an eye? Are these mostly white males afraid of what America is becoming — more brown, black and biracial? Are they willing to seriously try to overthrow our democratic government to make America white again? Is all this Republican craziness solely because we have more black and brown people, as well as women, serving in Congress? Are they truly afraid of American diversity?
At this very moment that is all I conclude: Trump committed bribery. Which is an impeachable offense as it is spelled out in the Constitution.
God bless our democracy and the people trying to protect it.
