Letter to the editor: Republicans don't improve lives
Regarding the article “Westmoreland recount complete; officials say no evidence of widespread errors found” (Dec. 6, TribLIVE): Sen. Doug Mastriano’s campaign says, “Nobody is alleging fraud or malfeasance,” and, “These people had nothing to gain by asking for the recount.” I believe these statements are absolute lies.
Republicans are trying to hoodwink the American public. Just the mere mention that there might possibly have been fraud (without any evidence, mind you) is how they want to instill doubt in the American public.
Americans are tired of rule by the minority. I don’t think Republicans can ever win another election without cheating.
In my opinion, if you vote Republican, you are telling everyone that you only care about yourself and your pocketbook, and that you don’t care about America; in order to get what you think you are entitled to from America, you vote for the slime of our society, believing that they will help you. Then maybe you find out the Republicans you help elect are only in it for their own gain — they are just like you.
I don’t think Republicans have ever supported legislation to improve life for the ordinary or average American. Democrats are committed to actually helping Americans in every way. The recent all-Democratic wins in Congress clearly show how much Democrats are helping all Americans.
