This photo was published in the June 30 Tribune-Review Westmoreland print edition Local section: Arya Longsinger, 3, of Latrobe, looks toward Adams Memorial Library children’s director Karen Herc as she tells a story from a children’s book on June 29 during the weekly Share-A-Tale children’s event in the courtyard of the library in Latrobe.

Reading the paper can be depressing and heartbreaking at times, but two things recently lifted my spirits.

First was the article about Dominic Dean (“Food passion fuels Milwaukee teen’s restaurant review success, leads to Primanti Bros. visit,” July 1, TribLIVE), and especially how his teacher recognized his interests and thought out of the box to help him.

The second was a photo in the June 30 edition of a little girl and her precious face of joy as she listened to a story at the Adams Memorial Library in Latrobe.

Thank you for brightening the day.
