Letter to the editor: Pittsburgh parks deserve equal treatment
It’s been more than three months since Pittsburgh voters approved via referendum a 0.5 mill property tax increase to fund city parks.
All of our parks are necessary for the quality of life of everyone in our region. I believe the City of Pittsburgh and the Pittsburgh Parks Conservancy will divide the funds up ethically and fairly, and will address each park’s or parklet’s needs equitably for the diversity of consumers and visitors.
Nothing, in my opinion, speaks to the city’s great reputation more than what my out-of-town relatives and friends say about the great experiences they have visiting our park system.
